The search we are actually running

O = F(R, I, T, Q)

R is the relational state, I the identity vector, T the transformation applied and Q the invariant vector. Six candidate families propose different F. Each is scored on measured response, cost, identity deviation, invariant preservation and noise stability, and penalised for complexity — then attacked.
